Unframed. 1850–1900; miniature; height 5.2 cm, width 4.2 cm., A painted portrait of a person shown from the chest up wearing a dark coat with a high red collar and gold epaulets, a white cravat, and decorative medals on the chest; the person has pale skin, light grayish-white hair styled back, and a neutral facial expression with eyes looking slightly to the side. The background is textured and light blue, and the whole painting sits on a rounded rectangular gray backing; visible colors include light blue, gray, white, red, black, gold, brown, and flesh tones.
