Background greyish, darker at bottom, lightened around figure. Medallion frame of oval gilded bronze, glazed on both sides; both glasses thick and convex, broken into six pieces. Engraved inscription on frame: Faithful love with an oath joined together in my heart, engraved with this will be the expression of the Day of 15. 7. 1800. On reverse under the glass: a braid of blond hair and a tied monogram /PG/. Miniature, 1800; height 6.5 cm, width 5.0 cm., portrait, costumes, men, soldiers, Polish miniatures; Kosciuszko, Tadeusz 1746–1817 — iconography; nobility., An oval pendant with a gold-colored metal frame and a small loop and ring at the top contains a painted portrait of a man shown from the chest up; the man has dark curly hair, pale skin, and a neutral expression with slightly downcast eyes, and he wears a high white neck wrap and a dark brown coat with a reddish inner garment; the background of the portrait is a mottled gray-blue, and the frame and hanging rings are gold-colored against a gray backdrop.
