He wears a white wig, grey-blue eyes, a black tricorn hat with yellow rim, a black bow under the neck, a white frock coat with red collar and cuffs with yellow piping and a yellow belt, a similar vest, black trousers and shoes, white gloves, and carries a silver saber. Style: foreign miniature. Frame: narrow oval gilt bronze rim with a palmette motif set in a wooden frame polished to look like ebony. Date: 1850. Medium: miniature.
