Torso slightly to the left, head slightly to the right. Dark brown hair and sideburns, blue eyes. Navy blue uniform with black collar and rebates with red piping and gold buttons; gold epaulettes; Virtuti Militari cross; white vest and trousers; silver saber pommel. Background: gray-blue-yellowish, brightened on the right. Binding: oval rim of semi-convex gilt-bronze bar, convex glass. Inscription along the left edge: Souvenir de Milewski. 1811. Inscription on reverse of binding: officer of infantry artillery/priest of Warsaw. Type: miniature. Dimensions: height 6.5 cm, width 5.2 cm. Place of origin: Poland; Duchy of Warsaw 1807–1815. Attribution after Dubois; referenced in Tygodnik Ilustrowany, W. 1922, I. no. 8, ill. p. 120., An oval framed portrait of a man shown from the chest up, set against a pale gray-blue background; the man has dark brown hair with short bangs, light skin, and a neutral expression, wearing a dark navy coat with a high collar trimmed in red and gold epaulets on the shoulders, a light-colored waist garment, and a decorative star-shaped badge on his chest; the frame is thin and metallic with a warm copper tone and a small brass hanging loop at the top, and visible colors include shades of gray, blue, navy, brown, gold, copper, and cream.
