Nicholas I Romanov 1796–1855, Tsar of Russia; painted by Ivan Winberg fl. 1800–1851; subject: Nicholas I in uniform, three-quarter male portrait with orders; miniature painting, 1830; St. Petersburg; dimensions: height 4.5 cm, width 2.8 cm., A smooth oval metal pendant with a round ring at the top, shown against a plain light gray background; the pendant is predominantly gold in color with areas of darker and lighter gold patina and visible surface scratches; a small circular hinge attaches the ring to the pendant, and a slotted screw is visible near the bottom edge; there are several engraved flowing cursive lines across the upper and central areas of the pendant and an embossed oval mark near the lower central area; overall the image shows a single gold-toned object with gray background.
