Framed with a semi-convex oval gilded-bronze border set in a rectangular brown leather case; olive-colored embossed plush surrounding the miniature. Inscribed along the right edge: S. Marszalkiewicz 1832. Miniature, 1832. Height 12.7 cm, width 10.0 cm., An oval painted portrait of a man with light skin, blue eyes, curly brown hair, and a brown mustache set inside a gold oval frame; he wears a high-collared military-style jacket with a brown chest piece, dark blue sleeves, decorated shoulder epaulettes with metallic details, and a light-colored sash; the portrait background is neutral gray, surrounded by a green velvet mat with subtle patterned corner decorations, all housed in a worn brown leather case with visible stitching and lighter inner panels.
