Half-length, three-quarter figure to the right. Aristocratic female portrait: dark curled hair with woven string of pearls, four-strand pearl necklace, corseted robe chemise dress, white fichu, blue bows on the sleeves. Background grey, lightened around the figure. Inscription/title Giuletta la bella. Binding: narrow brass border in a polished mahogany wooden frame with stylized brass floral ornaments in the corners. Dated 1780, Poland. Miniature; height 7.1 cm, width 5.3 cm., A framed oval portrait of a woman set in a rectangular black case with hinged edge, the frame decorated at the corners with ornate gold filigree motifs; the portrait shows a woman with dark curly hair and a pale complexion, wearing a white ruffled dress with visible folds and a few strands of pearls around her neck, her expression neutral and gaze slightly turned, the oval border appears in a warm metallic tone; prominent colors visible are black, gold, white, pale skin tones, dark brown, muted gray, and hints of blue-green.
