Inside the frame, several adults and children are arranged on a stone floor in front of architectural elements including arches, a large column, and a balustrade opening to a distant landscape under a blue sky with white clouds; a heavy dark teal drapery with gold trim hangs from above. The figures wear elaborately styled garments in colors including blue, white, red, gold, and cream; some sit on red-upholstered chairs with carved wooden frames while others stand or kneel, and a small child in a pale dress stands in the foreground. Additional visual elements include a large decorative urn in gray tones, tassels hanging from cords, and patterned fabrics and trims in the clothing.
