Cecilia von Oldenburg, Swedish princess born 1807 Stockholm – 1844 Oldenburg, daughter of Gustav IV Adolf and Frederick of Baden. Miniature portrait, 1835, Vienna. Waist-length, three-quarter right view: young woman with dark hair in a shin hairstyle, wearing a camisole/white bustier dress decorated with lace, a rose pinned at the bodice on the right, and a fur boa shawl. Background: red curtain, sky with clouds, and part of a park. Attributed creators: Moritz-Michael Daffinger 1790–1849 and Emanuel Peter 1799–1873. Miniature, height 10.5 cm, width 7.4 cm., A framed painted portrait of a young woman with pale skin and dark brown hair styled in glossy ringlets, wearing an off-shoulder cream dress with lace trim and a brown fur stole; a pink flower with green leaves is pinned near her chest. The background shows deep burgundy drapery on one side and a landscape with blue and gray sky and muted green-brown trees on the other. The frame is wooden with a distressed light-gray finish and a metal hanging ring and plate at the top in an aged brass color. The overall visible colors include cream, brown, pink, green, burgundy, blue, gray, and light-gray.
