Marcello Bacciarelli in a redingote, copy from a self-portrait of Marcello Bacciarelli; bust in right profile, head three-quarters facing right. He wears a grey wig with a black bow, a turn-down white collar and a red-rust scarf with blue stripes, and a grey–navy blue redingote with a double cape-like collar. Brownish-grey stippled background, brightened around the head. After prof. Batowski catalogue of manuscript no. 155: Miniature based on the artist's own portrait used for the Bacciarelli tombstone in the Warsaw Archcathedral or perhaps serving as a prototype for this painting. Frame: slightly recessed circular rim of gilded bronze with a palmette motif in a round recess of a square polished black wooden frame, convex glass, ring for hanging. Inscription on the reverse of the miniature: TVN2. 1790, Poland. Miniature, height 4.6 cm. Maker: Johanna Juliana Friederike Bacciarelli 1733–1809/1812 painter., A painted circular portrait of a person with pale skin and powdered gray hair styled back, wearing a blue garment and a reddish scarf tied at the neck, set against a muted gray textured background and surrounded by an ornate gold circular frame within a black outer border; visible colors include gray, pale skin tones, blue, reddish brown, gold, and black.
