Portrait of Anna née Sapieha, Princess Czartoryska; painter: Stanislaw Marszalkiewicz 1789–1872. Three-quarter-length portrait to the right, head almost straight. Anna Czartoryska 1798/9–1864, daughter of Aleksander and Anna née Zamoyska, wife of Adam Jerzy Czartoryski from 1817. Brown hair styled in loose spiral curls at the temples and on both sides of the face; braided crown at the top. She wears a white gauze dress resembling a sleeveless Greek tunic, neckline decorated with a meander motif, a narrow lilac-pink ribbon loosely tied at the waist, and a white transparent scarf. Background: light bluish sky and clouds. Inscription/attributes: aristocracy, plants, women's portrait, women's portraits, portraits en three-quarts, dresses. Medium: miniature; height 12.2 cm, width 9.7 cm. Date: 1812. Place of origin: Poland. Frame: gilded bronze with a strip of sapphire enamel, double-sided glass frame., An oval framed portrait of a young woman set against a muted background, the frame is gold with a band of bright blue and a small round loop at the top; the woman has fair skin, dark brown hair styled up with short curled tendrils framing her face, blue-green eyes, and a neutral expression; she wears a light, translucent dress in pale tones with a faint pink ribbon at the waist and delicate gold chain detailing on the shoulders, and there is a soft shadowing and subtle texture in the background.
