Urszula, Countess Michalowa Wandalin-Mniszchowa, née Zamoyska 1750–1808, miniature portrait, ca. 1780. Bust almost straight, head slightly to the right. Powdered blonde hair combed up, falling in curls over her shoulders; navy blue bonnet with brown fur rim trimmed with a diamond egret. Deep neckline, chemise with transparent lace; navy blue dress trimmed with brown fur and braided details—perhaps a Polish costume. Background: gray. Double glazed; frame secondary from the first quarter of the 19th century, gilded bronze with a strip of sapphire enamel. Miniature: height 4.9 cm, width 3.8 cm. Unknown artist. Subjects: aristocracy, female portrait, three-quarter view., An oval pendant with a gold and deep blue outer border contains a painted miniature portrait of a woman shown from the chest up; she has pale skin, light hair pulled back with a dark blue headpiece, light-colored eyes, and a faint neutral expression; she wears a dark blue garment with a low neckline edged with light lace and a muted brownish-gold draped detail on one shoulder, all set against a soft grayish background, with the pendant hanging from a small gold loop.
