White cravat, visible hem of a black zupan, red kontusz with black trim. Background: dark grey on the left, olive on the right. Binding: gilt bronze; connector from Min.1055–1060. Date: 1790. Place of origin: Poland. Miniature; height 3.1 cm, width 2.5 cm., A rectangular ornate frame with stepped corners and a decorative bow at the top holds a gold-colored panel containing a group of small oval portrait miniatures set into gilded bezels; the panel shows a few miniature portraits of people with varied powdered or white hairstyles and period clothing in colors including red, blue, white, gray, and dark tones, with skin tones ranging pale; there are decorative floral motifs and two small heraldic shields in gold relief between the lower portraits, and the overall colors visible are gold, red, blue, white, gray, black, and flesh tones.
