Young man with dark hair à la Tite, sideburns, wearing a white shirt and jabot, white vest with green stripes, navy blue frock coat with black collar and gold buttons. In his right hand a black sketchbook inscribed Skitzen. Background: left a column with a green curtain, right a table; above a plaster bust of a woman, beside it sculpting tools, a glass bottle with roses, forget-me-nots and bells. Medium: miniature with gilded bronze mounting. Date: 1820. Dimensions: height 9.0 cm, width 8.3 cm. Location: Wroclaw., A seated young man with fair skin and short brown hair wears a dark blue coat and a light striped waistcoat with a white ruffled shirt, holding a dark book and a rolled object in his hands; he faces slightly to the right with a neutral expression. Behind him is a draped green curtain and a pale column with a hint of an outdoor scene visible through an opening, and to his right a table holds sculpting tools, a partially visible white bust, and a clear vase with purple and blue flowers. The scene is set within a gold frame, and visible colors include blue, green, white, purple, brown, red, gold, and gray.
