To the left a seated nude figure with dark hair plays a lyre near stone ledges, and behind them a few trees with slender dark trunks rise against a pale sky. In the background a child climbs a ladder propped against a tree and reaches toward branches with blossoms, while more trees and a distant hill in shades of muted green and brown form the scene; stone blocks frame the right edge and small patches of grass and plants dot the foreground. The overall palette includes muted greens, grays, browns, pinks, blues, yellows, and beige.
