To the left a standing woman in dark blue and deep green robes with a pale head covering looks downward with hands clasped, and to the right a standing figure in a flowing red robe gestures with one hand while the other hangs by the side. The background displays a distant hilly townscape with stone buildings, arches, and towers beneath a sky of blue and pale gray clouds, with a few trees and small groups of people and animals on the middle-ground slopes; the foreground ground is earthy brown with scattered rocks and vegetation. The overall colors visible include shades of blue, green, red, brown, gold, white, black, and pale flesh tones.
