Visible colors include black, dark brown, beige, pale gray, white, flesh tones, muted blue, teal, yellow, ochre, red, pink, brown, and green. The standing figures wear draped garments and cloths in muted blue, yellow, brown, red, and pink, and some are partially unclothed showing flesh tones; a few hold long slender objects. Two figures recline on the steps in blue and yellow garments, one curled up and one lying with an arm extended. The overall composition is vertical, with the pale column and rooster drawing the eye upward and the group of figures arranged around the circular stepped platform, all enclosed within a wide gold-toned frame.
