In the middle ground a small grassy bank in muted green and brown hosts a person standing beside two brown cows, while a light-colored cow stands at the water’s edge. A stone bridge arches over the river toward the left, beyond which distant wooded hills fade into soft blue-gray and green hues. The water reflects dark green and gray tones, and the sky above is pale with washed blues, grays, and hints of warm cream. The whole image is bordered by a dark wooden frame.
