Casket case, The case is a rectangular wooden box covered with red velvet, with gold thread trimmings on the edges. The crosspieces have bronze openwork overlays. The side walls have gilded bronze handles; the top has a decorative overlay in the middle with a rank crown. On the front wall is a decorative overlay serving as a lock plate; the keyhole is preserved. The interior is lined with light green silk. Early 19th century; 18th century, Italy possibly Florence. Chest; height 39.5 cm, width 56.7 cm, depth 47.5 cm., A rectangular box with a hinged lid is shown partially open, covered in worn red material with areas of lighter and darker wear, framed by a textured dark border and decorated with ornate metallic corner and center embellishments; the metalwork is gold-toned and features intricate scrolling and floral motifs, with additional gold-toned decorative mounts on the sides and front, and a gold-toned handle visible on one side; the background is a smooth neutral gray.
