Venus Bathing, after Falconet's sculpture; maker: Etienne Maurice Falconet 1716–1791 sculptor, after, Churfuerstliche Porcellain Fabrique, Meissen manufacture, 1763/74–1814. Figurine of Venus: a young, naked woman with long hair parted and arranged in a crown; she stands in contrapposto by a fluted column cut at thigh height on a square plinth, slightly leaning forward, supporting with her hands the heavy fabric falling from her left thigh and down the back along the column; she takes a step, as if descending from a plinth onto a flat four-sided base. Porcelain figurine, Marcolini's period 1774–1814, 18th/19th century, Meissen, Saxony. Sculpture; height 25.4 cm, base width 10 cm, base length 12 cm., A square white ceramic object is shown lying on its side on a smooth gray surface against a gray background, with a concave hollow visible in the center and a rounded irregular opening inside the hollow, and a small white protruding piece visible on the right edge; the scene contains shades of white and several tones of gray.
