Knife, Korzec Porcelain and Faience Manufactory; 1790–1832. Possibly a Korzec forgery. Cutlery with a white-metal blade featuring a palmette at the base of the handle and an engraved fish at the end of the blade. Slightly curved porcelain handle with colorful painted flower bouquets and insects on both sides. Circa 1830. Poland Korzec?. Height 30 cm., A long flat metal blade with a rounded end engraved with a fish head and scale-like markings lies horizontally above a pale gray background, its metal showing a muted golden-silver patina with subtle uneven shading and a few small marks; the blade connects to a metal ferrule with a decorative leaf-shaped mounting and a short collar, which joins a curved glossy white handle painted with colorful floral motifs in shades of purple, red, pink, blue, green, and a small orange detail.
