Peasant with Piglet, First Galician Factory of Artistic Faience and Terracotta Pacyków; 1912–1939 manufacturer, Popiel, Antoni 1865–1910 sculptor, figurine of a man in peasant Hutsul russet coat on a circular base. The peasant, with straight-cut hair and period mustache, stands slightly bowed, holding a hat in his right hand and a piglet under his left arm. At the back, on the base, a woven basket. Warm tones, the light ochre of the russet coat accentuated by brown-purple trim; underneath, a green vest, dark trousers and brown shoes. Ca. 1910, Pacyków; terracotta/faience figurine; height 14.5 cm, width 8.0 cm, depth 5.5 cm., A ceramic figure of a person leaning forward wearing a long coat in cream with decorative trim in blue and red, a green collar, brown shoes, and a beige and gray hair/hat area, standing on a cream round base next to a small cream parcel with mottled brown marks, all set against a light gray background.
