Plate, faience factory Pasquale Antonibon active 1670–1884 maker, reclaimed provenance. Round, shallow plate with irregular wavy rim embossed with 16 semicircular shallow arcades, bordered with two purple lines. Colorfully painted with Far Eastern–style floral and plant decoration in an a ponticello bridge motif; bottom filled with a Rococo composition reminiscent of a Chinese peony bush growing on rocks, created by an openwork structure from behind which emerges a peony bush with delicate twigs, small leaves, and flowers. Colors: purple, light and dark green, yellow, ochre, cobalt, black. Ca. 1750. Nove, Italy. Vessel. Height 2.8 cm; width 24.0 cm., A round decorative plate with a scalloped rim showing a floral scene in the center, featuring a large stylized flower and surrounding foliage, leaves, and smaller blossoms in shades of blue and green with touches of yellow and brown; the central field is bordered by a scalloped inner edge with a blue line, and the rim is ornamented with a repeating band of decorative cartouches and scrollwork in blue, yellow, green, and dark brown on a white background.
