Vase with lid, Prószków Slaski faience factory; 1763–1853, floral decorations, soup tureen, roses, provenance repossession. Egg-shaped soup tureen with a lid in the form of a flattened ellipsoid/hemisphere. Handles of the vase and lid are two crossed ribbons. Decorated with small painted floral sprigs and large bouquets of multicolored flowers; on both sides of the vase and lid are bouquets with a pink rose. Handles adorned with vermilion daisies with large green leaves. Rim of vase and cover painted brown. Circa 1785. Province of Silesia 1742–1918, Silesia, Prószków Slaski. Vessel; height 25.5 cm, length 35.5 cm., A white ceramic lidded vessel with a rounded body and a domed lid topped by a looped handle, decorated with painted floral motifs in green, pink, and orange, and accented with brown brushstrokes on the handles and rim; the piece rests on a short base and sits against a pale gray background.
