Tin-mounted tankard, Prószków Slaski faience factory 1763–1853. White cylindrical tankard in a pewter mount. On the front is a depiction of an obese musician playing a double bass, shown in vigorous movement; the musician wears a yellow jacket, purple pantaloons, and a lilac hat with a yellow brim. Floral sprigs on the sides. Tin cover engraved CGH/1811. Late 18th century. Province of Silesia 1742–1918, Prószków Slaski. Vessel; height 24.0 cm, width 15.0 cm, depth 9.5 cm., A ceramic stein with a metal hinged lid and metal base visible against a pale gray background, the stein body is off-white with a glossy finish and small speckling, a painted floral motif in shades of pink and green appears on one side, a portion of a painted figure in red and brown is partially visible, the handle is off-white with metal fittings at the top, the metal lid and base are dull silver-gray with a slightly tarnished appearance, and the overall scene shows a few colors including off-white, silver-gray, pink, green, red, brown, and black.
