Tin-mounted tankard, Prószków Slaski faience factory 1763–1853. White cylindrical tankard in a pewter mount. On the front is a depiction of an obese musician playing a double bass, shown in vigorous movement. The musician wears a yellow jacket, purple pantaloons, and a lilac hat with a yellow brim. Floral sprigs on the sides. Pewter cover engraved CGH/1811. Late 18th century. Silesia Province of Silesia, 1742–1918, Prószków Slaski. Vessel. Height 24.0 cm; width 15.0 cm; depth 9.5 cm., A ceramic tankard with a hinged metal lid and metal base, shown open to reveal the interior rim, with a curved handle on the side; the body of the tankard is off-white with painted decorations including a figure in colorful clothing holding a large red stringed instrument and a small spray of pink and green flowers on the adjacent side; the metal parts are gray and the painted figure includes yellow, purple, pink, red, blue, green, black, and skin-tone hues.
