Chamber pot with genre miniatures, Porzellanmanufaktur du Paquier Vienna; 1718–1744. A chamber pot with a spherical, slightly elongated form, with a rolled-up, striped edge and a cylindrical handle. On the sides, two genre miniatures with ribald, erotic content, within gilded leafy Regency cartouches, complemented by purple Chinese latticework and a flower, a brick-red ribbon motif, and a brick-yellow volute, with two small miniatures in the frame reserves. The miniatures depict: 1 a field scene: two farmers and a woman trying to dissuade them from work by lifting her skirt; 2 a bagpiper playing for a couple dancing in a loving embrace, with rural buildings and a picket fence in the background. Between the miniatures is a bouquet tied with a gold ribbon; along the handle is an ornament with a gold campanula motif; the edge has a wide band of gilding and a volute ornament under the strip; gilding inside the chamber pot. 1725–1735. Height 12.5 cm; width 21 cm; depth 14 cm., A white ceramic cup with a rounded body and a curved handle, decorated with ornate gold and purple scrollwork and floral motifs around an oval painted scene; the scene shows a small rural tableau with a person wearing yellow and purple holding a musical instrument, a couple in muted purple and brown embracing, a fence, a tree with green foliage, and a small building; the rim and base have gold bands, and the overall color palette includes white, gold, purple, green, brown, and touches of pink.
