Amphora vase, Imperial Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg 1744–1917. Amphora vase with an ovoid belly, slender neck flaring at the top, and high foot on a square plinth. Two handles in the form of swans. Colorfully painted: trails of small flowers on the foot, neck, and lower part of the belly. On the belly, two miniatures depicting genre scenes in a rural landscape: a woman with a pole water carrier siudy, koromyslo and a couple with a dog. Base cracked and glued. Early 19th century, St. Petersburg, Russia. Figurine/vase. Height 26.5 cm, width 11.0 cm, depth 9.0 cm. Genre miniatures; genre scenes in landscapes; amphoras; plant decoration; water carriers., A tall, slender porcelain vase with a flared rim and a decorative handle is shown against a gray background; the vase is predominantly white with painted scenes and floral bands, featuring a pastoral scene with people and trees in muted greens, browns, and soft pinks on the body, small blue and green floral garlands near the neck and base, and gold accents along the rim, handle, and pedestal; the base is square and white with gold detailing, and the overall palette includes white, gold, green, blue, brown, and pink.
