Night lamp by Alexander Popow porcelain manufacturer; 1806–1872. Neo-Gothic porcelain lamp, composed of three parts: base, lamp, and cover. Base has a horizontal row of holes on each side forming a decorative trail. Cube-shaped lamp in neo-Gothic style with arcades shaped like tracery, painted with colorful landscapes: two with motifs of flowering bushes primrose and jasmine, floral motifs against a landscape background, and two landscapes with an architectural motif. 19th century, Gorbunovo, Russia. Height 32.2 cm, width 13 cm., A tall, narrow porcelain object shaped like a small tower with a steep, textured roof in white and gold sits against a gray background; the upper roof section has a scalloped pattern in white highlighted with gold, and gold trim appears below it. The tower's central panel features a painted pastoral scene with a blue sky, green and brown trees, and buildings in muted earth tones, framed by decorative arches in red, blue, pink, and gold; the sides of the panel show a mottled pattern in pale pink, green, and white. The base is white with gold accents and a row of circular cutouts outlined in gold, and the object reflects faintly on the surface beneath it.
