Night Lamp, Popow, Alexander porcelain manufacturer; 1806–1872 author, lamps, landscapes with architecture. Neo-Gothic, plant motifs. Lamp composed of three parts: base, lamp, and cover. Base with a horizontal row of holes on each side creating a decorative trail. Lamp in the form of a cube, in the neo-Gothic style; arcades with tracery painted with colorful landscapes: two with motifs of flowering bushes primrose and jasmine, floral motifs against landscape backgrounds, and two landscapes with architectural motifs. 19th century, Russia, Gorbunovo. Lamp, height 32.2 cm, width 13 cm., A decorative tower-shaped object with a pointed tiled roof in white and gold sits against a plain gray background; the body of the object shows painted panels framed by ornate borders in colors including pink, purple, blue, gold, white, and green, with landscape scenes featuring trees and foliage visible on the panels and stylized floral motifs on adjacent faces; the base is rectangular with a band of circular cutouts and gold trim, and the overall piece displays glossy ceramic surfaces and delicate raised details.
