Vase by Karol Wolff fl. ca 1800; Bielino faience factory 1779–1800. A baluster-shaped Warsaw faience vase decorative vessel, profiled at the bottom with a short, slightly flared neck and a vaulted, profiled foot. Olive-brown body with a white, cobalt-shaded depiction of a plum tree whose bent, widely spread branch and network of flowery twigs cover the surface. Around the profiled belly is a row of white, shaded pearls; the rim bears a stylized teeth ornament. Chinoiserie/Far Eastern motifs, plant decorations. Inscribed/dated stylistically 1770–1800. Height 17.0 cm; width 13.2 cm. Origin: Warsaw, Poland., A ceramic vase with an hourglass-like silhouette sits against a pale gray background, its surface covered in a mottled brown glaze decorated with a pattern of white branches and small blue flowers and buds; the rim and base edges have a band of blue rectangles, and a central band around the narrowest part shows a row of pale blue circular medallions outlined in yellow, while the overall color palette includes brown, blue, white, and yellow.
