Leaf plate, Kaiserliche Porzellanmanufaktur in Wien 1744–1864. Leaf-shaped dessert plate with relief-modeled surface: large white flower peony? and two green underpainted leaves; plastic shoot handle set on the edge with a flower bud; trimmed bases on the reverse of the collar. On the surface, the flower relief bears a colorfully painted loose floral arrangement and five sprigs with flowers; leaves and stem handle painted green with purple veining. Ca. 1760, Vienna, Austria. Plate: height 6.8 cm; width 24.5 cm; depth 22.5 cm., A white ceramic dish shaped like a large leaf with a curved handle is shown against a gray background; the dish has scalloped edges and raised vein-like ridges, decorated with painted floral motifs in colors including green, purple, red, pink, and orange, with additional small floral accents in blue and yellow; the rim and parts of the interior have green shading and delicate branch-like lines in a muted purple, and the handle has green brushwork blending into the white ceramic.
