Base for a tabletop tray. Oval architectural tray serving as a base for a tabletop tray. Carved with 4 leaves and a wavy edge—alternately concave and convex. Supported by 8 round, spirally fluted legs. Around the edge is a baluster gallery with balusters interwoven with small columns and pillars, topped with cones. Painted in a blue Regency arabesque. Inner walls and base white. 1st half of the 19th century; 18th century, France, Strasbourg . Vessel. Height 11.0 cm; width 33.0 cm; depth 45.0 cm., A ceramic dish with a decorative openwork rim resembling a small fence sits on a reflective surface, showing a glossy white base color with detailed blue painted floral and scroll motifs on the rim, baluster-shaped supports, and rounded feet; the rim has pointed finials and the interior is smooth and white, while the background is a uniform gray.
