Walls, bottom and lid made of boards; rollers attached to two wide strips glued to the bottom on the short sides. 2nd half of the 19th century. Central Europe, possibly Germany Silesia. Historicist style; subject: inns, feasts. Piece of furniture storage. Height 49 cm, width 60.5 cm, depth 32.7 cm., and origin; inscriptions/author unknown., The image shows a rectangular metal chest with a sloped hinged lid, covered in raised decorative relief scenes and ornate border patterns; the surface appears mostly dark bronze with areas of greenish and bluish patina and hints of brown, and the chest rests on small rounded feet with a slightly lighter base edge.
