On a flat, circular pedestal with rocaille merging into a tree trunk, stands a young man leaning on the trunk at waist level. In contrapposto, head turned to the right, he holds a short oval board with a handle—an instrument for stewing potatoes—resting on his right shoulder. Dressed in trousers with colorful thin stripes tied loosely at the waist with a belt, with loose ends, black shoes with a buckle, a short green jacket with box pleats, a pink waistcoat, with gold braiding and a soft cap similar to a nightcap. Ca. 1755, Saxony; Meissen.
