On a flat, circular pedestal with rocaille merging into a tree trunk, stands a young man leaning on the trunk at waist level. In contrapposto, head turned to the right, he holds a short oval board with a handle—an instrument for stewing potatoes—resting on his right shoulder. Dressed in trousers with colorful thin stripes tied loosely at the waist with a belt, loose ends, black shoes with a buckle, a short green jacket with box pleats, a pink waistcoat, with gold braiding and a soft cap similar to a nightcap. Ca. 1755, Saxony; Meissen; figurine; height 13.5 cm., A small painted porcelain figurine of a standing person wearing a white cap with pink trim, a green jacket, a pink vest, and white trousers with vertical blue and pink stripes, holding a brown object over one shoulder and leaning against a white tree stump, mounted on a white decorative base with green and yellow accents and wearing dark shoes, set against a plain gray background.
