Armchair, creator unknown, provenance unknown, eagles, coats of arms, plant decoration, Neo-Baroque style, volutes, balusters, animal paws. Baroque armchair with carved frame, woven. Front cabriole legs ending in claws clasping balls, decorated at tops with acanthus leaves; rear legs in the form of balusters terminating with ankles. Legs fastened with an H stretcher composed of rolling joints, with ankles at the side. Trapezoidal seat with woven rattan and narrow frames with wavy cutouts at the bottom. High, nearly rectangular backrest, S-shaped at the back, with side rails curved toward each other at the top and topped with volutes. Between them, a two-field coat of arms supported by two eagles, beneath a visor with labrets and a hat above with a wide brim and two cords with tassels. Center of the backrest has a narrow central board dividing it into two fields woven with rattan mesh. S-shaped armrests terminate in volutes at the front and rest on straight, turned brackets set at an angle. Frame joints are pegged. 2nd half of the 19th century, Western Europe. Furniture, seating piece; height 120 cm, width 70 cm, depth 54 cm., A wooden armchair with a carved crest on the top backrest and a woven cane panel in the back and seat, showing a medium brown wood tone, light tan cane, and hints of darker brown in carved details; the chair has curved armrests ending in scrolls, turned and carved legs with a carved stretcher connecting them, and claw-like feet, all set against a plain light gray background.
