2-handled cup, Koenigliche Porzellain Fabrique, Meissen ca. 1720–1735, Hoeroldtmalerei. Chalice-shaped cup, slightly parted rim, rimmed foot, with two 2-part S-shaped gilded handles. Two 4-part gilded cartouches on the bowl, bordered by a purple-brick-red pincer ornament, with polychrome miniatures of genre scenes with Chinese figures and accompanying plant motifs and insects: 1 Chinese woman seated on a stool holding a fan and an incense burner with two Chinese children nearby; 2 tea ceremony scene: kneeling Chinese man with a cup and a standing man pouring from a teapot, beside fragments and a table with utensils. Upper handle sides and under the lower base decorated with shoots of Indian flowers. Inner edge with a trail of gold lace. Saxony, Meissen. Cup; height 7.8 cm, diameter 7.5 cm., A white porcelain double-handled cup with ornate gold handles and gold trim around the rim, decorated with delicate painted scenes and floral motifs in colors including purple, pink, red, green, orange, and brown; the central painted vignette shows two seated figures near flowering plants with a small tree and insects, framed by gilded cartouche shapes and additional decorative flourishes in purple and gold, all set against a neutral gray background.
