Two-handled cup, Koenigliche Porzellain Fabrique, Meissen ca. 1720–1735. Hoeroldtmalerei; chalice-shaped cup slightly parted at the rim with a rimmed foot and two two-part S-shaped gilded handles. Decoration: two four-part gilded cartouches on the bowl with a purple-brick-red pincer ornament; colorful miniatures of genre scenes with Chinese figures and plant motifs and insects: 1 a Chinese woman seated on a stool holding a fan and an incense burner with two Chinese children nearby; 2 a tea ceremony scene of a kneeling Chinese man with a cup and a standing man pouring water from a teapot, beside a table with utensils. Sides of the upper handles and beneath the foot painted with shoots of Indian flowers. Inner edge with a gold lace trail. Saxony, Meissen. Height 7.8 cm; diameter 7.5 cm., A white porcelain cup with two ornate gold handles and a gold rim sits against a gray background, decorated with gold cartouche shapes and delicate painted floral motifs in purple, red, pink, green, and orange, and a painted scene showing a seated figure in purple clothing with a few smaller figures nearby, with touches of brown and flesh tones in the figures, and small accents of black and yellow in tiny painted details.
