On a light blue background, decoration in dark cobalt. At the bottom, between two arbor posts flanked by schematically outlined bushes, a standing lion with a human face. The collar features six trapezoidal segments separated by narrow, vertical fields with floral decoration, three of which depict a seated male figure, the other three arranged alternately with a schematic, symmetrical volute-floral composition. The lion at the bottom likely represents the Batavian Lion, symbolizing the House of Orange. 19th century, Netherlands, Delft. Vessel: height 3.0 cm, width 23.2 cm., A round ceramic plate with blue and white decoration showing a central scene of an animal with a mane standing beneath a small architectural structure with columns, surrounded by stylized foliage and abstract motifs; the rim is divided into panels filled with ornamental scrolls, floral shapes, and linear patterns. The color palette is predominantly white with various shades of blue, including dark navy blue and medium blue accents, and there are small areas where the glaze shows slight wear.
