Bottle with lid. Porcelain, Gardner manufactory Francis Gardner; established 1766–1917. Cubic bottle with a profiled short neck and square stopper. Plastic ornamentation on the edges, swan-shaped feet in late Empire style one paw fragment missing. Gold-painted decoration: four genre scenes with Chinese figures on the four sides. Floral ornament on top of bottle and stopper; gilding abrasions. Circa 1840, Russia, Wierbilki. Vessel. Height 18.5 cm; width 11.2 cm., The image shows a decorative square container and its detached lid resting on a reflective surface against a plain gray background. The container is ornate with a glossy dark brown base color and extensive gold ornamentation along its edges and panels; the front has a circular opening rimmed in an off-white or cream color. The lid, positioned to the left of the container, shares the dark brown and gold floral motifs and features a raised gold floral knob at its center. The gold detailing includes delicate vines and floral patterns, and the container has textured gold trim along its corners and top edges. The reflection of both objects is faintly visible on the surface below.
