A two-handled, ovoid pharmacy vase with a cylindrical neck, gently flaring at the rim. On the belly is a tubular spout, and on the sides are two handles in the form of fanciful dolphins dragons?. On the front is an oval cartouche with the inscription LIBERTAS framed by a massive laurel garland. The remaining background is grey and white, painted in two tones of cobalt, with a densely coiled twig with tripartite leaves and flowers a foglie. The decoration is dominated by cobalt blue in varying degrees of saturation, yellow, and green with accents of ochre and purple. Around the neck is a wavy twirl with birds. Below the handles is the letter B. The vase is an example of Montelupo production, specializing in pharmacy vessels with leaf decoration inspired by Venetian ornamentation.
