Légende
Pedestal cabinet, single-leaf with a drawer at the top, supported by a prominent plinth; veneered with mahogany, with profiled, carved, gilded and painted cornices and applied decoration on the doors. The edges of the door leaf and drawer faces and the corresponding front edges of the walls are diagonally cut. The molding around the plinth is decorated with a dark green and gilded leaf ornament; the cornice under the top is decorated with rosettes set in a rhomboidal grid. The upper section of the door features a bas-relief woman's head; below it a lotus flower surrounding the keyhole; on the drawer face is a gilded wooden handle in the shape of a mushroom. Originally four shelves inside. The drawer bottom is recessed from the back. A single-bolt, self-locking steel mortise-and-apply lock. Brass pintle hinges. Empire style, first quarter of the 19th century; origin possibly Poland or Austria. Materials: mahogany veneer, gilding, painted decoration. Height 97.2 cm, width 33.5 cm, depth 35.2 cm., A tall wooden cabinet with one side door open revealing an empty interior and wooden supports along the inner sides, the cabinet finished in warm brown wood tones with a rectangular base and a top section, a small round knob on a shallow drawer below the top, decorative carved trim with gold and dark blue accents along the top edge and the base, metal hinge hardware visible on the inner edge of the open door, and a neutral pale gray background.
