Vase, Cmielów faience and porcelain factory; founded 1804. Small vase with a convex belly on a small foot, decorated in blue print with a wallpaper pattern featuring orchids and plant/floral decoration. Vertical, fan-shaped handles in a stylized leaf form, with a line gently diverging from the belly and curling toward the rim, surrounding the upper part of the vase with a fluted leaf motif. c. 1840–1860. Poland, Cmielów. Vessel; height 16 cm, length 32 cm, width 20 cm. Maker: unknown., A ceramic bowl with a pedestal and matching saucer, both covered in a dense floral pattern in blue and white; the bowl has a central vertical handle-like protrusion rising above the rim and the patterned surface shows swirling floral and vine motifs in shades of blue on a white background; the saucer echoes the same blue-on-white design and the whole object sits on a smooth gray background with subtle reflections.
