Openwork basket, Cmielów faience and porcelain factory est. 1804. Openwork, oval cross-section similar to a mandorla with parted walls formed by two layers of rollers rotating diagonally in opposite directions. Top enclosed in a band of three rollers; bottom finished in a kind of braided rope. Interior bottom plastered with an oval plate. Surface decorated with a blue wallpaper pattern. Abrasions to the glaze and slight chipping on the edge of the walls. 1840–1860, Poland. Vessel; height 6.5 cm, length 30.5 cm, width 18.5 cm., A shallow woven bowl with a lattice-like shape made of twisting curved strips, primarily white with blue floral and decorative patterns, showing some small areas of brownish discoloration or wear, set against a plain light gray background and reflected faintly on a glossy surface.
