Semi-ovoidal vase on a low pedestal base with sharply broken edges and tapering concave profile. Vertical handles extend slightly beyond the vase width and rise high, modeled as fan-shaped fluted leaves. Decorated with a blue printed wallpaper pattern. Shape based on Wedgwood products see 1817 catalogue, pl.7, fig.146. Maker: Cmielów faience and porcelain factory est. 1804. Prints, wallpaper patterns; unknown provenance. Dated 1840–1860, Poland. Vessel; height 16.0 cm, width 20.0 cm, depth 32.0 cm., A ceramic vessel and matching shallow saucer sit against a pale gray background; the vessel has a rounded bowl shape on a short pedestal foot with a vertical handle-like ridge rising from rim to base, and both pieces are covered in a dense floral pattern in blue on a white ground with areas of light shadow and subtle surface texture visible.
