Double-sided gingerbread mold. Obverse: male figure on a rooster; reverse: bird. Double-sided rectangular mold; on one side a male figure in a high hat and fur-lined jacket sitting on a rooster, with a decorative plant-motif border at the bottom; on the other side, a bird facing right with a plant ornament at the bottom. Folk-style decoration; iconography: birds, riders, roosters. Gingerbread mold, 18th–19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Materials: mold. Dimensions: height 15.5 cm, width 9 cm, depth 3.7 cm., A rectangular wooden panel carved in a brown wood tone shows a relief of a figure standing on stylized foliage, beside and partially overlapping a large bird with a fan-shaped tail; the figure wears a tall hat and clothing with a collar and holds an object near the bird, and the bird has a rounded head and a comb-like crest; the lower area of the carving features carved plants and a horizontal band with vertical grooves; the background around the carved scene is smooth wood in similar brown hues with subtle darker and lighter variations, and the surrounding area of the image is a neutral gray.
