Double-sided gingerbread form. Obverse: image of a rider. Reverse: four representations of human figures. Double-sided rectangular form; on one side an image of a trumpeter on a horse dressed in a decorative tail, in a costume from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries consisting of a long jerkin with wide tails, breeches and long boots, wearing a tricorn hat; floral decoration at the bottom. Second side: four small images of human figures shown from the front and back: first, a male carrying a basket filled with children probably known in folk tradition as Kinderbringer; second, a female in a high headdress, in country dress, holding a handkerchief in one hand and a small basket in the other. Gingerbread form, 18th–19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Dimensions: height 42 cm, width 25.5 cm, depth 2.8 cm., A flat rectangular wooden block rests on a smooth light gray surface against a pale gray background, showing carved raised and recessed patterns across its top face; the wood ranges in color from medium brown to darker brown with some lighter worn patches, and the carved areas reveal textured lines and rounded shapes suggesting repeated motifs; the block's edges show irregularities and a few cracks, with one long side appearing slightly chipped and darker along its length; shadows beneath the block create a subtle darker gray tone on the surface.
