The other side shows a male figure in armor resembling Roman legionary or Greek hoplite armor, with a similar plumed helmet, holding a shield bearing two crossed swords and a crown, and a javelin in the other hand; a sword is girded at his side, he wears sandals, with a plant ornament at the bottom. 18thβ19th century, Silesia Province 1742β1918. Form; height 59 cm, width 22 cm, depth 4.5 cm., A carved wooden panel depicts a standing figure in relief wearing a helmet with a plume and an intricately patterned dress or armor, holding a long straight object angled across the body; the carving shows textured hair, decorative shoulder pieces, a patterned bodice, and a skirt with repeating geometric and leaf-like motifs, with a decorative base beneath the figure. The visible colors are brown tones of the wood and a neutral light gray background.
