Double-sided gingerbread form. Obverse: heraldic shield; reverse: plant ornament. Double-sided rectangular form; on one side at the top a heraldic shield with a bipartite field, on the left two crossed swords; on the right geometric and plant motifs including an image of rue. In the lower part three framed fields, one rectangular, the other two ending with an arc, each containing on a dashed background a rose symbol. Reverse: complex decorative motif of symmetrically arranged and interwoven plant elements. Materials: form. Iconography: coats of arms, roses, plant ornaments, geometric ornaments, swords, crown motif, rue, grapevine. Function: gingerbread mold. Date: 18th–19th century. Place: Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Dimensions: height 26.7 cm; width 10.2 cm; depth 3.8 cm., A single rectangular wooden block with rounded corners and a worn, rough surface floats against a smooth, pale gray background; the wood shows dark brown and lighter brown tones with visible grain, cracks, small dents, and a slightly chipped lower corner, and there are a few small dark spots on the wood.
